Why BDB?
As a web developer, most of my day is spent solving problems. Sometimes I’m trying to debug a piece of javascript, or PHP, or C#. Other times, I’m trying to figure out the best way to accomplish a certain task. Perhaps I’m doing research for the best piece of software to help me improve productivity. Or trying to find a workaround for an HTML, javascript, or CSS browser quirk I’ve come across. I’m reminded — frequently — that I’m don’t know everything there is to know about anything I do. But the one thing I do know is that if I’ve come across a problem, other developers either already have, or will in the future. And wouldn’t it be nice if they could just search Google for a solution, instead of banging their head on their desk for a few hours? (or days?)
Yep, I think that would be pretty nice too. And that’s what I’m trying to provide. Ideally, the more tips I’m able to assemble here, the more desks I can save from head-shaped dents. Hopefully other developers will be able to benefit from my experiences.
And hopefully not just developers! I hope to be able to provide information of value to my clients — and your clients — as well. I hope to benefit as many people as I can.

p.s. Remember what I said about not knowing everything about anything? I realize that all I am able to present is a solution, not necessarily the best solution. If anybody knows of a different way to do something I’ve talked about, please let me know and I’ll make sure and spread the word.
